Custom Monster High Sorceress Masters Univ

Description

This OOAK Sorceress was created using a Create a Monster (CAM) vampire head, body and hands, plus the Harpy add on set wings and lower legs.

In order to get a preferred range of movement, while the hands are on the correct sides, the forearms have been swapped, left to right and vice versa.

The wings, legs and body were painted (sculpted bodysuit collar). The original eyes are been left, but I changed the eye colour to green, and repainted Teela-Na's lips. The eagle headdress was hand sculpted from light air dry clay directly onto the head, then sanded and painted when dry. The dress is also light clay, sculpted directly onto the doll body, then sanded and painted when dry. The stand is an old Fashion Royalty stand, with the wire piece modified to fit into a brad-awled hole in the doll body and clay applied to the base to resemble Castle Grayskull's stoney floors.

The eagle staff is a wooden skewer with a light clay sculpted bird on the top. then painted and antique washed.

The Sorceress (Teela-Na) is one of my favourite childhood characters. I loved the mysticism and solitude of the Sorceress, but always felt that Teela (her daughter) got to go on more adventures. As the mother of a fast growing teen daughter, I once more find myself drawn to the character.

And in the cartoon flashbacks, she's a redhead!! LOL!

Great figure, someone should make a new MOTU animation-serie with your style. You really got your own style Sorceress here. This kind of design is really a great inspiration for a 3D modeler and concept artist like me. Great work ;)
